Who we are
AronCorp Limited is the data controller for this website and for any enquiry sent through it. We are registered in England & Wales, company number 04006438, at The Stables, 23b Lenten Street, Alton, Hampshire, GU34 1HG.
If you have a question about any of this, or you want us to do something with your details, email enquiries@aroncorp.co.uk or call us free on 0800 371 1870.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form, and one thing our server notes by itself. There is nothing else — no account to create, and no tracking of what you look at.
- What you send us
- Your name and email address, which we need in order to reply. Your phone number, your situation, which house you are interested in and your message are all optional, and the form works without them.
- Your IP address
- Our server notes the address an enquiry arrives from, so that the same one cannot fire off a run of enquiries in a few minutes and use our form to fill somebody else’s inbox. It is held in the server’s memory only — never written to a database — and discarded when the server restarts.
Why we use it
- To answer you
- Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: we build houses, you have asked us about one, and replying to you — along with the confirmation telling you your enquiry arrived — is the entire point of the form.
- To keep the form from being abused
- Legitimate interests again: protecting our own systems, and other people’s inboxes, from anyone using the form to send mail they did not ask for.
- To send you occasional updates
- Only if you ticked the box, and our lawful basis is your consent. This means news about these two developments — houses released, prices and availability confirmed — and nothing else. You can stop it whenever you like, by replying to any email or writing to us, and stopping it does not affect anything we did beforehand.
We do not sell your details, we do not pass them to other companies to market to you, and we do not build a profile of you. There is no advertising on this site and no analytics.
Who else handles it
A few companies handle your enquiry on our behalf. They act on our instructions and cannot use your details for anything of their own.
- Resend
- Sends the two emails the form produces: the one to us, and your confirmation. Based in the United States.
- Microsoft
- Our enquiries@aroncorp.co.uk mailbox runs on Microsoft 365, so your enquiry sits there once it has arrived.
- Vercel
- Hosts this website and keeps the ordinary server logs that come with running one. Based in the United States.
- Only if you press “Load interactive map” on one of our location maps. Nothing at all is sent to Google until you do. What happens after that is covered by Google’s privacy policy.
Because Resend and Vercel are outside the United Kingdom, your enquiry is transferred abroad. Those transfers are covered by the standard contractual clauses in our agreements with them, which is the safeguard UK data protection law provides for.
How long we keep it
Twelve months from the last time we were in touch, and then we delete it. If you go on to buy a house from us, the paperwork that comes with a sale is kept for longer, because we are required to keep it.
Cookies
This site sets none. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind — even the typefaces are served from our own server rather than someone else’s. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything.
The one exception is the map, and it waits to be asked. Press “Load interactive map” and the page contacts Google, which may then set cookies of its own. Until you press it, it is just a picture of a heading and a button.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- show you what we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it
- stop using it, or limit what we do with it
- send it to you, or on to someone else, in a portable form
- stop relying on legitimate interests, if you object to them
Just ask — enquiries@aroncorp.co.uk. It costs nothing, and we will come back to you within a month.
If you think we have got something wrong, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and the date at the top of it.
