The Westport

The Westport is a four-bedroom detached family house finished in a Georgian style, using a combination of brick slips and stucco render to achieve a classic yet contemporary look in keeping with the local vernacular.

The ground floor combines modern open-plan design in an impressive kitchen/dining-room leading into the solid-roofed conservatory, with a separate sitting-room/office which can be closed off from the rest of the house if desired. There’s also a smart WC and a dedicated utility room with stand-alone washing-machine and tumble-dryer. The kitchen is a deluxe version of the ‘Belsay’ Shaker-style furniture, in timeless shades of Porcelain or Dove Grey with pale quartz work surfaces and glass splash-backs to enhance the feeling of space and light. A double-oven, integrated dishwasher and ‘insinkerator’ are all included and we have specified deep drawers in preference to cupboards where possible. A light honeyed oak, engineered-plank runs throughout the ground floor changing to a pale ecru carpet as you proceed upstairs.

The first floor provides four bedrooms, two with en-suite shower-rooms and one family bathroom. All the accommodation has been carefully planned to achieve the most generous dimensions possible. Bathrooms are finished with characterful ceramic floor-tiles, glass shower-screens to walk-in showers and high-quality sanitary-ware. There is underfloor heating through the whole house — no radiators — leaving all walls clear for furniture, artwork and full-length curtains if desired.

The Westport’s have good-sized rear gardens with a mixture of paved and turfed surfaces while the frontages benefit from an attractive mixture of hedging, flowering shrubs and plants. Each house owns two adjoining car-spaces (with ‘first fix’ for an electric charging point) and has access to visitor spaces on the development.
